A LEADING Birchwood firm tasked with developing innovative protection for mobile technology has announced ambitious plans to distribute its services across the globe.

Following a successful past year in the UK, Tactus, based on Olympic Park, is set to mark its territory across Europe and Australia.

Having spotted a trend for individuals who rely on mobile technology for everyday survival, Tactus achieved a year-over-year growth of 74 per cent in the UK market in 2014.

Its success is attributed to an innovative range of smartphone and tablet cases, along with highly intelligent, tempered glass screen protectors.

In 2014, global sales of smartphones totalled 1.2 billion, up 28 percent from 2013.

Following the rapid growth of the mobile technology market and subsequent desire for high quality and robust accessories, Tactus is responding to global demand with its functional, protective, yet stylish products for tablets and mobile phones.

Scott Brenchley, CEO of Tactus, said: "In the last year, Tactus has seen an increase in UK sales, along with a significant rise in brand awareness.

"We're leading the way in innovative product design and distribution and are excited to broaden our horizons and begin distribution to new, foreign markets.

"The mobile technology sector is seeing vast growth, with people all over the world looking to stay connected, at all times.

"We've managed to hone in on this need, creating high-quality product offerings, bolstered by innovative USPs, that allow consumers to worry less about breaking their technology, and live more.

"With new products constantly in development, we plan to continue our company growth by expanding our distribution network in both the UK and abroad."

Tactus has secured distribution with Australian partner Agent Distribution, Spanish technology partner F5 and specialist European distributer JMT Partners.

As a result it is now listed with over 31 retailers globally and is focused on continuing to grow its portfolio.

In the UK Tactus has secured profitable contracts retailers including Argos, Selfridges and Maplin.
