EDMUND Bradbury took his third win of the season at Hereford Wheelers Hill Climb during a ride at Haugh Woods.

Bradbury stormed home in four minutes 54 seconds, a full 25 seconds ahead of Climb on Bikes member Ceri Middleton and NFTO's Rhys Phillips, who finished joint second.

In third place was Mike Morris, also representing NFTO, who came in at 5:22.

The women's race was won by Hereford Wheeler Christie Jones in 6:38, ahead of Megan James of Abergavenny RC, who finished in 7:21.

Third place went to Hereford Wheelers' Suzanne Kirk who clocked a time of 8:20.

Middleton also finished joint second in the evening 10 race at Allensmore.

The Climb on Bikes rider finished in a time of 23:39, along with fellow Climb on Bikes member Nick Preece.

But the pair could do nothing to prevent NFTO's Steve King winning the event in a time of 23:09.

The first Wheeler to finish was Jon Tetley in fifth position with a time of 23:50, while 15-year-old Climb on Bikes rider Josh Sandman recorded an excellent time of 24:18 to finish in a respectable eight place.

Christie Jones again won the women's race, this time in a time of 24:47, nearly three minutes ahead of second place rider Sally Field of Hereford Wheelers.

Sarah Jones, also of Hereford Wheelers, finished third.

The next event in the Wheelers race calendar is the Club 30 mile across Leominster and Ludlow this Sunday, which is the last road time trial of the season.

That is followed by the last event of the season, which is the Pencombe Hill Club next Thursday.
