A TELEVISION was dumped on Larkfield Park just days after a litter pick in the area.
The New Cut Heritage and Ecology Trail Group carried out a clean up of the park in Woolston last Thursday collecting many bags of litter and items from fly tipping.
But members were disappointed to see the large screen television dumped in the area within days of the tidy.
Cllr Ian Johnson said: “The item was dealt with quickly but members find it difficult to understand why people leave such things anywhere other than approved recycle and waste sites.”
The group, which is an ongoing project to try to enhance open spaces like Larkfield Park and Paddington Meadows, have been assured that local PCSO’s and the council will be closely monitoring and visiting the area.
