FITNESS enthusiasts across the town will take on a gruelling three hour ‘wolf crawl’ challenge at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Wednesday, September 9 to celebrate National Fitness Day.

As part of Warrington Festival, the event will see teams ‘bear crawl’ on all fours up and down the stadium’s 1,250 steps in a relay fashion while completing running laps in a section of the Warrington Wolves stadium.

Members and staff from LiveWire, the TA and Warrington Wolves Foundation will compete against each other with two trophies up for grabs including one for the team who completes the most amount of steps and another for the team that raises the most sponsorship money.

All sponsorship raised will be given to LiveWire’s official charity St Rocco’s.

Residents who are signed up to the LiveWire and Warrington Wolves Fit To Tackle weight loss and fitness programme will also join the teams competing as part of their weekly training sessions.

Members of the public can cheer on the competitors from 6pm after paying a small donation for St Rocco’s upon entrance to the stadium.
