IT was not the result he hoped for but the mum of converted Warrington Wolves fan Kayden Rodd says he still had a 'wonderful day'.
The four-year-old former Leeds fan, who has autism and switched allegiances after hearing Wire fans singing during last year's Magic Weekend, led the team out on Saturday as mascot.
The dedicated fan will still be making the trip to Wembley however with his Leeds supporting family.
Mum Michelle Rodd added: "Kayden was very overwhelmed but soon settled down and sang through all the game.
"We will still be going to Wembley and he will still be wearing his Warrington kit with pride.
"He got a lovely teddy with his name sewn on the ear with the year, and a lovely fan made him a framed picture with Wolfie and Kayden.
"The support and love and best wishes from the club has been truly amazing and I know that he enjoys everyone coming to say hello."
