FANS are being called on to pay tribute to lifelong Warrington Wolves supporter Jock Maguire.
The popular 85-year-old died peacefully at Warrington Hospital on Saturday night after losing his battle with stomach cancer.
The former Warrington Hospital and ambulance employee's funeral takes place on Monday with the cortege passing the Halliwell Jones stadium on the way to Walton Crematorium.
Fans behind the Wire Barmy Army Facebook group hope to get as many supporters as possible to line the route outside the ground when the cortege drives past the stadium and give their fellow fan a round of applause.
Jock will arrive at the stadium from the Dallam Lane entrance and will then stop outside the shop for several moments.
Adam Birchall, from the Facebook group, added: "We ask that lots of fans turn out to clap him on his final journey, of course wearing his beloved primrose and blue, and arrive for 9.30am."
