STAFF at Warrington Hospital will be able to enjoy an extra special tea break thanks to a federation of residents associations.

Warrington Federation of Tenants and Residents Associations donated hampers containing coffee, tea, cups of soups and biscuits for staff to enjoy during their breaks on their busy shifts.

The Federation chose to thank staff oat Warrington Hospital as the majority of their residents have experienced care here at some point in their lives and wanted to give a little something back to all the staff to say thank you.

The associations chairman Ken Wormald said: “We all come together to make a difference to our residents lives and this seemed the ideal project for us, to give something back to all the staff who have made a difference to all our lives.

“Our Federation exists to improve people’s lives, just like the hospital. We hope the staff enjoy a break on us.”

The Federation is made up of seven residents associations and individual members across the Warrington area and is supported by Golden Gates Housing Trust.

Carol Jones, ward manager, said: “This is such an unexpected lovely gift to all the ward staff across the hospital. It’s been like Christmas on the wards.

“We would like to say a huge thank you to the Warrington Federation of Tenants and Residents Associations and Individuals for this very kind gesture.”
