HUNDREDS of people lined the streets to watch this year's Padgate and Woolston Walking Day.
Pupils and teachers from schools were joined by representatives from churches and brass bands for the annual walk down Padgate Lane and back again in the sunshine on Saturday.
Young girls showed off their white dresses while boys dressed in their uniforms from schools including St Bridget's, Woolston Community Primary, Cinnamon Brow CE Primary School and Christ Church.
This year's walk was led by St Peter's Church with last year's leaders St Oswald's Primary School bringing up the rear.
The walkers were accompanied by music from Warrington Brass Band, Warrington Phoenix Drum and Trumpet Corp, Haydock Brass Band and Cadishead Band.
The drummer from Warrington Brass Band Alex Clements was taking part for the first time while twin brother Grant was playing cornet in the band for the fourth year running.
A mother's union, scout groups and a playgroup were also amongst those represented in the walk which was led by reverends from St Peter's and Sankey Valley Methodist Circuit.
