TWO former councillors were appointed as honorary aldermen last Monday at the Town Hall.
Celia Jordan and Ian Marks were unanimously given the title following a vote at the meeting of the council after the motion was proposed by council leader Terry O'Neill.
Mrs Jordan stepped down as Liberal Democrat councillor in May following her 28-year tenure and former leader of the council Ian Marks lost his Lymm seat, which he held since 1995, in the council election.
Mayor Cllr Geoff Settle said: "This award to them is well deserved – they have put in many years of service."
