A LONG-STANDING dispute between Wild Wings and Bents has been settled.

Bosses at the garden have decided not to take legal matters further after a judge ruled in favour of Bents in a earlier court case in April.

During the hearing, the judge granted the garden centre the power to evict Wild Wings immediately with court costs to be settled at a later date.

But Bents have decided not to pursue costs from Wild Wings as the team at the rescue and rehabilitation centre have abided by the court decision to vacate the premises.

Bents managing director Matthew Bent said: “Wild Wings have now vacated the site at Bents Garden and Home and we now consider the matter closed, no further action will be pursued.’’

Wild Wings director Carole Rose said: “After the court order we agreed a date of May 17 to vacate the property with Matthew Bent and we abided by that date.

“We now just want to move on and put this whole episode behind us and concentrate on what we do.”
