BAKE sales, dress down days and raffles over the last 12 months have all led to a Woolston-based computer company collecting more than £5,000 for St Rocco's.

And on top of fundraising, VIP Computers also donated an Xbox gaming console which the cause's nursing team is delighted to have on the ward to offer visitors and patients.

The cheque was handed over to Sister Caroline Kaye, who is one of two nurses leading new initiative St Rocco’s Hospice at Home.

She added: “We are committed to meeting the needs of people in Warrington and there is a real need to enable patients to receive end of life care in their own homes.

"Hospice At Home is as much for the family as it is for the patients as it can be such a distressing and stressful time for everyone involved.

"We would like to thank VIP Computers for this fantastic donation, which will help us to respond to people’s needs by developing services such as this.”
