A TERMINALLY-ill mum who travelled to Germany in a desperate bid to prolong her life has been rushed to hospital after her condition deteriorated.

Friends and family rallied round Vicky Lowe (formerly Kinder) who has bone cancer to help her raise £15,000 to pay for treatment in Germany that may give the mum-of-four a few extra years with her children.

But shortly after arriving to undergo the treatment, which is not available on the NHS, Vicky was rushed to hospital where she remains after needing an operation.

Vicky's friend Leanne Fitzsimons said: "I would like to thank everyone and the kind businesses for their donations to help raise the money.

"However Vicky has been very poorly whilst over there and was rushed into a German hospital, were she needed an operation and was in the intensive care unit.

"She is now out of the intensive care but still in the hospital and with additional charges."

Leanne and Vicky's friends Vicky Charnock, Amanda Smith and Leanne Mercer-Buckley have organised a fun day to try and help Vicky cover the unexpected costs.

It is being held on June 7 at the Imperial Hotel Pub on Bewsey Road from 12.30pm with entertainment from Princess Elsa, a bouncy castle and much more.

Vicky, who is originally from Warrington but now lives in Colwyn Bay, is mum to 20-year-old Christopher, Lucy, aged 19, 14-year-old Billy and Charlie, aged one.

The 39-year-old was diagnosed with cervical cancer in August 2013 just weeks after having her fourth child Charlie.

She was later given the all clear but in June 2014 doctors discovered a tumour in her back and she was told the devastating news that the cancer had spread to her bones and was now terminal.
