MOTORISTS travelling on the M6 southbound face delays this morning following a serious crash.

Emergency services were called to the scene after two cars and a van were involved in the collision today, Friday, at 8.10am.

Paramedics assessed those involved at the scene with one person suffering a minor injury.

All lanes were closed on the M6 Southbound between junction 20 and 21 but these were reopened at 8.45am.

One lane was closed on the exit slip road due to the accident at junction 20 at the Lymm interchange.

This is while the vehicles that were involved in the crash on the main carriageway awaited recovery.

But it is understood that the slip road was reopened at 9.30am.
