AN appeal to trace a suspected conman who is alleged to have tricked a bank worker out of hundreds of pounds will be broadcast on Crimewatch tonight.
Earlier this year, the Warrington Guardian published an appeal for information after the mystery man stole £420 from a bank on Old Market Place on March 11.
But officers have been unable to track down the suspect and will make a public plea for information on the show.
It is alleged that the suspect was able to pocket the cash while money was being exchanged.
PC Graham Davies said: "It is rare that crimes like these take place in a bank which just shows the confidence and brazen nature of the alleged offender."
To find out why the man has been given the nickname ‘money magician’ tune in tonight at 9pm on BBC1.
Also keep an eye out for Warrington’s own PC Donna Stevens from the town centre neighbourhood unit who will be helping out on phones during the Crimewatch broadcast.
Anyone who recognises the pictured man is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 citing crime reference number CC15075535 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
