IF there was any doubt over the significance of Warrington South to the Conservatives, one look at David Cameron's diary for the past few months may end that.
Since July the Prime Minister has been to the town five times.
This is largely because Warrington South is one of the most important seats in the country at any General Election.
A look at the history books shows a win in Warrington South generally means a trip to number 10 - the exception being Mike Hall's win for Labour in 1992 when John Major became Prime Minister.
Here is a look at David Cameron's love affair with Warrington.
- In the summer he met apprentices at United Utilities in Great Sankey and visited the Warrington Guardian offices. Read more here
- In October he was at the Preston Brook-based headquarters of O2. Full story here
- Earlier this month he met pupils at Kings in Woolston. Full story here
- On Monday he held a rally for the party faithful at Warrington Town. Click here for more
@warringtonnews @David_Cameron 5 visits - would seem that #davidcameron is really worried that @mowat4ws is going to lose #GE2015
