HEALTHWATCH is holding its quarterly Focus Upon event on Thursday.

Anyone who uses health or care services in the borough is invited to come along to discuss their care and how changes will affect them with Healthwatch Warrington and Warrington Voluntary Action’s voluntary, statutory, and private sector partners.

The Quarterly Focus Upon Health and Social Care event will focus on primary care which is often a patients first point of contact for care such as GP surgeries, dental surgeries, community pharmacies and high street opticians.

This time Focus Upon will highlight progress and issues in primary care, particularly GP and community dental service developments.

Healthwatch Warrington will also be launching a NEW Healthwatch Feedback Centre and give everyone the opportunity to be the first to try out the new system which allows patients to give on the spot feedback about health and social care services.

Deborah Dalby, Heathwatch Warrington’s CEO, said: “People can go online and rate their services like you would do with Tripadvisor and anyone can look on that service and find out which is the best nursing home by going and looking at people’s comments.

“The hope is it will give people a real richness of information to help them make their choices.”

The event is being held at The Gateway, Sankey Street from 10am until noon on April 23.
