THE motorway is no place for horsing around, it doesn’t matter how lame your excuse is...
This was the scene when officers from Cheshire Police were called out to rescue two horses who were trying to escape on to the M6 at junction 22, today, Friday.
But it was nay bother for the officers, who have now returned the horses to their owners.
The horses had escaped from a farm in Lowton and were found on the slip road on Winwick.
It is understood the horses did not suffer any injuries during their adventures.
The slip road was closed for around 30 minutes at 8.45am while police dealt with the situation but it has now been reopened.
