A SIX-car crash closed two lanes of the eastbound carriageway of the M62 this morning.
The accident happened this morning at junction 11 Birchwood and traffic was queued back to junction eight while emergency services attended the scene.
Lanes two and three were closed until 9.30am but traffic has now returned to normal.

Recovery has been requested for the vehicles involved in the collision #M62 E/B J11-J12. 2 lanes remain closed. Traffic passing in lane 1.
