TRAFFIC is heavy around Warrington town centre this morning as the demolition of the former Mr Smith's building continues.
A fire ripped through the building early on Tuesday and the owners say the whole of the 1930s building could need to be pulled down.
Wilson Patten Street remains mostly closed, causing queues elsewhere in town. It is not helped by the traffic lights at Brian Bevan Island being out.
Work on the demolition site was restarting around 7.30am.
