They will be a sent a postal survey that will shape the future of housing in Warrington over the next 15 years.
Residents will be asked about a variety of topics including: l Basic information about themselves and their family l The size and rooms of their current home l Reasons for moving to their current home l Plans including whether they plan to move in the future, and if so, where to Clr Brian Axcell, Warrington Borough Council's executive member for environment (LD), said: "The council needs to understand what sorts of homes are needed now and in the future so that we can plan up to 2021.
"I would ask everyone who receives a questionnaire to complete it.
"It is your borough and your future and the more you tell us the better the job we can do".
The survey will be distributed in February and, if you receive a questionnaire in the post, please fill it in and return it by April 2 in the pre-paid envelope.
