A WAITER for Frankie and Benny's has vowed to get a tattoo of his workplace but only if staff at the popular food chain hit their fundraising target of £1,500.

The team at Frankie and Benny's will be hosting a family fun day tomorrow, Saturday, from 12pm to 4pm, at the restaurant on the Gemini Retail Park.

The staff plan to raise £1,500 by organising a series of fundraising activities and games.

This includes a raffle, bouncy castle and an appearance from a number of Disney characters.

Danny Rodgers, from Birchwood, has agreed to get a permanent inking of Frankie and Benny's logo as long as his colleagues' fundraising day goes to plan.

The 32-year-old, who already has a number of tattoos, said: "It was just a spur of the moment decision.

"I think they will be able to raise the £1,500. There is lots planned."

If the work colleagues reach their target, Danny plans to get the tattoo on his chest or leg.

All the money raised from the event will be donated to the restaurant's chosen charity, Rays of Sunshine.

The charity aims to brighten the lives of children who are living with serious or life-limiting illnesses.
