FILMING scenes with the stars and even having his own trailer, Kameron Cowan could quickly get used to the showbiz life.

The Great Sankey youngster may only be 10 but he plays a prominent role in the first episode of Ordinary Lies as Jason Manford’s son, Joe.

It is his first role in a major BBC drama after appearing in adverts for the Daily Mail , Kia and Battersea Power Station and a short film called Carry Me Keith .

Kameron, who filmed his scenes in Chapelford in October, said: “I really enjoyed learning the scripts and scenes because the storyline was so interesting.

“I’ll always remember being driven around to the locations with Jason Manford because he was so funny.

“Everyday he told us jokes, made us laugh and had fun with us.

“Working with Michelle Keegan was very exciting too because I remembered her from Coronation Street .

“I had my own trailer with my own bathroom, wardrobe, living area and fridge with my character name on it ‘Joe’.

“And it was very exciting when my name was called to go and shoot my scenes.”

Comedian Jason plays Kameron’s dad Marty while Erin Shanagher, from Paul Abbott’s Hit & Miss , plays mum Katrina.

“It was amazing,” added Kameron.

“They were so much fun to be around and made me feel very welcome.

“Most of my scenes were with them and they made it very fun.

“Everyone was so lovely.

“John McKay, the director, was so funny and cool.

“I loved being around him because he taught me a lot and gave me good advice.

“I’m excited to see people’s reactions and I hope they enjoy the drama.”

Kameron’s sister Chloe-Rose is also an aspiring actor.

She played a role in All At Sea , which was aired on CBBC last year.

He said: “My sister and I have made lots of friends who all like the same thing and we all practice scripts together.

“The main thing that inspired me to become an actor is my love of TV, movies and theatre.

“I have been auditioning for other parts this year and I would like to be in a comedy at some point.”

Kameron’s mum Debbie added: “We are all very proud of Kameron and the way he has embraced this role and settled in along with the rest of the cast.

“His attitude and professionalism has helped him succeed in this fabulous production of Ordinary Lies .

“We are delighted that he has been able to work alongside such big name artists and to work with such an outstanding director, John McKay and producer Tom Sherry.”
