1. To support Warrington as a filming location

It is not every day that we get to meet the likes of Michelle Keegan and Max Beesley while out and about in the town.

But with Red Production Company and MediaCity both in Manchester we could hopefully see more filming in the area.

We have already had Our Zoo at Walton Hall while Craig Cash's yet-to-be-aired After Hours was recorded in Lymm for Sky.

2. It has a wealth of talent behind it

Creator Danny Brocklehurst has written episodes of Shameless and Clocking Off. Red Production Company is the studio behind Happy Valley and Last Tango In Halifax.

Producer Tom Sherry has worked on Scott & Bailey and directors John McKay and Juliet May have worked on Life On Mars and Call The Midwife.

3. It has a great ensemble cast

Ordinary Lies prompted a media frenzy because it features Michelle Keegan's first role since Corrie.

But there are a host of big names from soaps, dramas and comedy like Max Beesley, Mackenzie Crook, Jo Joyner, Jason Manford and Sally Lindsay.

Also look out for Great Sankey's own Kameron Cowan playing Jason Manford's son.

4. To be part of the conversation

With all kinds of Warrington locations to look out for including John Stuart Car Superstore, The Orford Hotel and Warrington Collegiate, Ordinary Lies is bound to get residents talking over the next few weeks.

5. It is different to everyone else on telly

Ordinary Lies moves deftly from humour to serious drama and somehow manages to feel light hearted while dealing with some pretty terrible secrets and lies.

Focusing on a different character each week, the show's structure is different to most shows.

- Ordinary Lies is on Tuesday on BBC One at 9pm
