A BRAVE woman has managed to escape from the grip of a man as he tried to drag her into the bushes in Cinnamon Brow.
The victim was out jogging at around 6.50pm yesterday, Thursday, when she was approached by a man at the junction of Enfield Park Road and Stirrup Close.
The man, who was standing near to bus stop, exposed himself to the victim before making an attempt to drag her into a nearby bush.
But, after a struggle, she was able to break free and run away and alert passersby.
The man was then seen to drive off in a grey car in an erratic manner but, as he attempted to leave the scene, he almost collided with the victim - missing her by inches.
DS Darren Wright said: "We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time to contact us.
"We are following a number of lines of enquiry but are keen to progress the investigation with the help of the public and are urging anyone with information to get in touch."
Anyone with information is urged to call DS Darren Wright on 101 quoting incident number 724 of 5 March 2015 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
