Lanes closed after M62 smash
MOTORISTS are being advised to avoid the M62 after an accident involving three cars near to the Ikea store at Gemini.
Two lanes have been closed and highways officials have reported queueing traffic while recovery work takes place on the M62 westbound between J9 A49 (Winwick) and J8 Burtonwood Road.
Lanes three and four are closed to traffic heading towards Liverpool from Manchester.
It is not yet known if anyone was injured in the crash.
