A MULTI-MILLION pound housing development in Bewsey is under way with the first 78 set of affordable homes handed over to Your Housing Group.
Housing developer Mulbury Homes have built the homes on the site of the former George Howard Scrap Yard on Folly Lane
The £6m development features a mix of two and three bedroom homes, as well as one and two bedroom apartments, which are aimed at meeting a variety of housing needs.
Stephen Haigh, executive director of growth and development at Your Housing Group, said: “This development enables us to offer much needed quality homes for affordable rent to local people in Warrington.
The range of the properties available allows us to cater for people at different stages of life from single people, young couples and families through to those looking to downsize.
This scheme is part of the Your Housing Group’s £150m affordable homes programme which will deliver around 1,400 new homes across the region by the spring.
The final properties are expected to be handed over in March.
