THE bizarre dress debate which took social media by storm on Friday is still causing 'mayhem' at a store in Golden Square Shopping Centre.

Clothing store Roman stocks the dress that remains the topic of debate for shoppers disputing whether the stylish garment is blue and black, or white and gold.

But all arguments can now be put to bed after store manager, Lisa Harrison, revealed the all important answer.

"The dress is blue and black - the white and gold dress does not exist," she said.

"It has all been so surreal and people have been split 50/50 when making their mind up of what colour the dress is.

"The dress has been causing debates here and in houses - a lady even came in and had to go to Vision Express to get her eyes tested.

"It has been mayhem but is still going on today, all of our stores are experiencing the same thing."

With the dress showing no signs of giving up its superstar status, Lisa is expecting another influx of sales at the store throughout the week.

"We never expected anything like this to happen but it is generating new customers for us and so the awareness it is getting is great," she added.

The revelation that there is no white and gold dress is sure to baffle many, not least celebrity Kim Kardashian.

The television personality was sure the dress was white and gold but partner Kanye West, who saw black and blue, has well and truly won this debate between the pair.

The blue and black dress, which is priced at £50, is being displayed in the store window in town.
