AN investigation launched at Hollins Park after a staff member was alleged to have assaulted a woman with physical and learning disabilities has found no evidence to back up these allegations.

The alleged assault was reported to involve an agency worker, who has since returned to work at the hospital.

Following the alleged incident at around 9.30pm on Monday, January 5, an internal probe was launched while Cheshire Police also carried out its own investigations.

A spokesman for 5 Boroughs Partnership said: "Both the Cheshire Police investigation and the trust’s internal investigation have concluded.

"No evidence was found to substantiate the alleged assault and the bank worker has now returned to work at the hospital.”

A spokesman for Cheshire Police also confirmed that following an extensive investigation, a decision has been reached to take no further action based on the evidence available.
