TWO men suspected of being involved in a police chase in Bewsey have been charged with a string of offences.

The chase came to a dramatic end on Saturday at 3.45pm on Danby Close when the police vehicle collided with the passenger of the car.

Zachary Beechall, aged 21, of Rylock Close in Fairfield and Howley, was taken to Aintree Hospital following the incident.

He was later charged with possession on suspicion of intent to supply Class A drugs, Class B drugs, and also for possessing ammunition for a firearm without a certificate. 

He has since been remanded in custody.

The driver of the vehicle, Thomas Morley, aged 23, of Rhodes Street in Orford, has been charged on suspicion of taking a motor vehicle without consent, driving without insurance, without a licence and failing to stop. 

He has been granted unconditional bail.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police has confirmed that a full investigation into the collision is currently being carried out and the incident had been referred to the force professional standards team.
