Warrington’s Irish community is set to celebrate its cultural traditions this March in a week of activities across the town.
Everyone is invited to attend the range of events which includes free Irish entertainment on Saturday, March 14, in the Old Market Place at Golden Square running from 12pm to 4pm.
Warrington’s St Patrick’s Day Parade will take to the streets on Sunday, March 15, with those taking part gathering at the Warrington Irish Club at 9.30am.
The Stars From The Commitments are getting ready to paint the town green at the Parr Hall with a nine-piece soul band from Dublin, including members of the original Commitments’ film on Tuesday, March 17.
Later that day, the town’s Irish Club will have entertainment with Dermot Doyle, followed by an evening dance with Team Healy from 7pm.
The week will come to a close on Friday, March 20, with a proper Irish Ceilidh dance at the Pyramid.
