MOTHERS and daughters are being called on to join more than 1,000 women taking part in this year's St Rocco’s Starlight Ladies Walk.
The fundraiser takes place this year on June 19 at midnight at Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub with walkers choosing from a 6.5 or 13 mile course to raise cash for the hospice.
Joanne Arnett, from Appleton, has been walking with her two daughters Rachel and Hayley for the last seven years.
She added: “It’s a date in our diary every year now and it’s becoming a real family affair as my sister has started joining us too.
“We always complete the two laps, 13 miles, even when it’s heavy rain, and the bacon butties at the end make it all worthwhile.”

Sign up before Saturday to be in with a chance of winning a £100 voucher for Grill On The Square.
