PLANS to build more than 100 homes in Latchford have been approved after an agreement was reached on affordable housing.
Halebank Developments wanted to create 104 affordable properties off Marsden Avenue.
But Warrington Borough Council’s development control committee did not feel this would reflect the needs of homebuyers in the area.
It was unanimously agreed last Thursday that 30 per cent of the homes – 32 properties – would be affordable housing with the remainder being sold at market value once built.
Cllr Bob Barr said: “Given the social mix in the area I think this is an enormous improvement.”

@warringtonnews more homes in #warrington WILL only improve the developer & mortgage companies. .NOT the town or people
