A BROKEN man has set up camp outside a legal firm in the town centre to fight his battle to ensure sexual offenders do not receive court representation.

The man, who did not wish to be named, says he knows three children who have been sexually abused by a convicted man, sat outside HCB Widdows Mason, on Rylands Street, today, Monday with posters detailing some of his thoughts.

Although suffering from metal poisoning, the man remains determined to ensure others across the town hear his point on the issue.

"The sex offenders can get on with their lives in prison and then could be out after a few years - we are the ones that suffer," he said.

"They should not receive the representation - I believe they should be left on their own rather than get help."

The man is set to stay outside of the shop for the coming days but says he has spoke to the legal firm about his desire to see change.

"I have spoke to a lawyer at the firm about it and they have listened to me and been great," he added.

"I just want sex offenders to stop getting the help they receive in court and I am trying to get that point across."
