A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a police chase that started in Glazebury.

Officers from Warrington East NPU said on Twitter the male driver was arrested at around 7am on Monday.

Police requested a car to stop but it failed to do so.

Officers gave chase and the man abandoned his car next to Bent's Garden Home on Warrington Road.

Police continued to give chase on foot, and collared the suspect.

He was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop, and driving with no insurance.

It is not yet know if the man has been charged.
