THE generosity of those taking part in the Warrington Guardian and BiG Storage Active Christmas toy appeal will help put a smile on the faces of youngsters who visit the Children's Adventure Farm Trust.

CAFT, who provide a variety of programmes for terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children, is just one of the charities to benefit from the appeal.

The annual toy appeal, which was launched earlier this month, provides gift to under-privileged youngsters in the town so no child goes without this Christmas.

Helen Crowther from CAFT said: "We are so grateful to everyone at Big Storage for everything they continue to do for us through their Toy Appeal.

"This year we will be providing Christmas parties to 23 groups of children plus we’ll also be visiting Claire House Children’s Hospice and the wards of Alder Hey Hospital – that’s a lot of children all of whom deserve a special treat this Christmas.

"The toys donated through this toy appeal will bring joy to these children who deserve a little festive magic, we really can’t thank everyone enough.”

The appeal is looking for new gifts for children from babies up to 16 years and presents need to be unwrapped.

Paul Whittaker BiG Storages Toy Appeal coordinator said “We have been truly astounded over the years at readers generosity and we never fail to be touched by individual stories as well as local businesses who go out of their way to help the local charities selected for this year’s BiG Active appeal."

Gifts can be dropped of at the BiG Storage on Manchester Road, Woolston, the Warrington Guardian office on Bridge Street and The Halliwell Jones Stadium.

The charities benefitting from the toy appeal also include JUMP and NSPCC Warrington.
