PLANS to build six new classrooms in Chapelford have been approved despite the school only opening in March last year.
The proposals for Chapelford Village Primary School, Santa Rosa Boulevard, were given the green light to create a three form intake due to a growing demand for school places in the area.
The application includes toilets, a plant room, reprographics and extensions to the existing library and staff facilities.
No objections were submitted by councillors or residents but online comments criticised the fact the plans were necessary so soon after the building was first opened.
