WITH many already writing off Warrington Town’s hopes of another FA Cup giant-killing against Gateshead next month – one man is giving the club every chance is club chaplain the Rev Lee Gilbert.

Mr Gilbert, from Latchford Baptist Church, witnessed the Yellows’ 1-0 victory over Exeter at Cantilever Park from behind the dugout – but he will be watching from home this time around.

“The atmosphere against Exeter was absolutely brilliant,” he said.

“I doubt I will be able to go to Gateshead but will still be giving the team my hopes and prayers.

“I will be praying for the club that it all goes well and I don’t see why we can’t win again but I suppose we will just have to see.”

With Shaun Reid’s men just weeks away to what could be a memorable day, Mr Gilbert, who has been associated with the club for around six years, issued the team with a lasting message.

“I hope that the team play to the best of their ability,” he added.
