A MAN has issued a plea for help from members of the public after his car was stolen by callous thieves while he spent the evening with his seriously ill father-in-law at Warrington Hospital.

Keith Little had travelled from his home in Wales with his family to spend time at the the 80-year-old grandfather of five's bedside.

The 52-year-old arrived at the hospital on Lovely Lane on Sunday at around 7pm - parking his bright orange Land Rover Defender 110 in the front car park.

But when he returned to his car the following morning at around 8.30am, the vehicle was missing.

Keith said he was shocked that the car had been taken from a hospital car park.

He said: "We are upset with the people who have done this. It's hard to believe that someone could do this."

The registration plate for the car is T97 M0F.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said officers are currently investigating the incident and are following a number of lines of enquiries.
