FEARLESS fundraisers leaped 52ft from the top of Warrington Hospital's education centre at the weekend to help raise thousands of pounds for the neonatal unit.
Doctors, nurses and police officers were among the intrepid group scaling the building on Sunday during the charity abseil with the help of Mountain Monkeys.
And so far nearly £7,000 has been raised to help support premature tots born in the town.
Organised by Runcorn Specsavers store director, Chris Graham, whose baby daughter Sophia was treated on the unit after she was born in September last year, the event was the first of its kind at the hospital in the hope of funding new ventilators and monitors.
Dad Chris was the first to take on the challenge alongside neonatal sister Lynsey Arnold, who cared for Sophia during her stay in hospital, and thanked everyone who had got involved with the event and donated.
