HIGH winds have slowed traffic on the Thelwall Viaduct this morning, Tuesday.

The speed limit has been reduced to 50mph across the viaduct because of the storm hitting the town.

Heavy rain and high winds are hitting Warrington as part of the tail-end of Hurricane Gonzalo.

The poor driving conditions are causing congestion on roads across the town.

Traffic lights are out of order in all directions on Sankey Way, near to David Lloyd Gym, causing big tailbacks.
