A WEEK of events have been helping to raise awareness of Gas Safety Week.
Golden Gates Housing Trust residents and staff helped to promote the messages from the week run by the Gas Safe Register on the dangers of unsafe fires, boilers and cookers.
Staff were given awareness sessions to help them understand the importance of visiting properties.
Then there were resident events at Radley Common and Westy community centres spreading the message of gas servicing and free gas checks from the trust's gas maintenance supplier Sure Group.
GGHT chairman Roy Smith said: “Ensuring our residents’ safety is our number one priority. It is crucial that people understand the dangers that gas appliances can pose. We hope both residents and staff found the week useful but also potentially life saving. By following a few simple steps our customers can ensure that they are able to stay safe.”
