GOING green took on a whole new meaning for staff at Marks and Spencer in Gemini.

They took the plunge into a bath of green gunge to help kick start their fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The store teams up with Better Bathrooms who offered them the bath to use and a prize of £1,000 off a new bathroom for everyone who donated towards the charity.

Better Bathrooms CEO Colin Stevens said: “We are so excited to team up with Marks & Spencer Warrington Gemini staff to raise money for MacMillan. The money we raised together will help MacMillan Cancer Support to continue their amazing work.”

And on Friday the store will be hosting a coffee morning as part of a nationwide campaign.

Louise Fitzsimons from Marks and Spencer added: “The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning provides a great excuse to gather with friends, family, or work colleagues, put your feet up and enjoy a cuppa and a slice of cake and all in aid of a truly worthwhile charity.

“The event on Friday will provide lots of fun activities for the whole family to enjoy and we hope all our customers can come along to show support for a cause that affects so many of us.”
