HAVING a cuppa and raising money for needy pensioners was on the menu at Shelly's restaurant when the Mayor came to visit.
Clr Ted Finnegan and wife Mavis joined other guests for free afternoon tea at Shelly's, on Bold Street.
Users of the Brampton Lodge Care Home on Bridge Lane, Appleton, were invited for coffee and cake.
Michelle Butterworth, who owns the restaurant, said she wanted to do something for the home, as it raises money to provide says out for residents, some of whom have dementia.
