THE Warrington YMCA is on the hunt for people to join its voluntary steering group.
The team of volunteers, who meet up once a month, help to ensure that the services and projects run by the YMCA work effectively and efficiently.
Opened December 1, 2010, Room at the Inn at Patten Hall, Winmarleigh Street, aims to prevent rough sleeping by providing emergency short term accommodation to people who are homeless in Warrington.
Aiming to prevent street homelessness, Room at the Inn is designed to be a short stay facility that accommodates street homeless while suitable, longer term accommodation can be found.
The YMCA Furniture Project collects household items in good condition which are then given to people in need on a low income.
