PICKING up a parcel is set to get easier with the Royal Mail opening a delivery centre in Warrington on Sundays.
The Milner Street depot is part of a nationwide pilot which will see it among 100 centres to open from noon to 4pm for people to pick up parcels.
The idea is to make it easier for online shoppers to pick up their orders when they are not at home during the week to receive them.
Geoff Braden, operations director, said: “We are continuing to be more customer responsive and provide more options for people to receive items they have ordered online.
“I am delighted to pilot Sunday afternoon opening at 100 of our delivery offices across the UK with the highest parcel volumes, including Warrington.”
It is part of a range of new moves such as click and collect, redelivery services and delivery to neighbours the Royal Mail has brought in for the growing numbers of online shoppers.
