HAVE you checked whether you have been signed up to the new electoral roll?
Letters have been sent out about the new individual electoral registration system which allows you to register to vote online.
The majority will already be registered but 10 per cent have not been transferred across.
If your letter tells you to register on the new system you can do it quickly and easily at gov.uk/register-to-vote.
You can also register by post by following the instructions on your letter.
Under the new system you also can opt to not appear on the open register which has your name and address on a list which is available to buy but the full register will only make your details available for certain purposes such as law enforcement.
