STAFF from the Ombudsman Services were on the ball for a charity fundraiser for St Rocco's Hospice.
And its seven-a-side football tournament between them and other businesses teams helped raise £2,083 for the charity.
Ombudsman Services, based on Wilderspool Park, took on a team from O2, Nviron and HSBC.
Chief Ombudsman Lewis Shand Smith said: “The World Cup inspired us to get out onto the pitch this summer and we were so pleased to be able to work with local partners on this event. St Rocco’s Hospice does fantastic work for the local community all year around and we were delighted to have raised over £2,000 for this wonderful cause."
Corporate fundraiser Helen Latham added: "Ombudsman Services are wonderful supporters of St Rocco’s Hospice and we are incredibly grateful to everybody who took part in this fantastic event to raise funds for patient care here at the hospice."
