POLICE are appealing for information over a day time burglary - that happened while the victims were in the front garden.

The incident happened between 5.23pm and 5.54pm on Thursday, at an address on Castle Green, Westbrook.

Police say the occupants were in the front garden when intruders lifted a fence panel, and entered the house through a rear patio door.

Bedroom cupboards were ransacked with jewellery, and cash in stirling and euros, stolen.

The intruders are thought to have fled though the rear garden and onto Westbrook Crescent.

The victims returned inside their home to find it had been burgled.

DC Nathaniel Lewis, from Cheshire Police, said: “Police are appealing to anyone who would have been in the Westbrook Crescent area and may have seen anyone lifting the fence panels, and entering or exiting the garden to contact us.”

Call police on 101 quoting Incident No 779, of August 28, with any information.
