THE family of a 20-year-old man killed after being hit by a car next to Creamfields said a ‘huge hole’ has been left in their hearts.

It is believed pedestrian Aiden Connolly, from Glasgow, was struck by the Toyota Hilux after leaving the Creamfields site in Daresbury.

In a statement, the family said: “Aiden lived a happy and full life.

“He was a keen guitarist, a dedicated bodybuilder and enjoyed socialising with his family, friends and work colleagues.

“He was kind and thoughtful and his tragic passing leaves a huge hole in the hearts of all who knew him".

The collision was reported at the junction of Chester Road and the Daresbury Expressway at 3.45am on Monday.

Aiden was rushed to Aintree Hospital in Liverpool with serious injuries but could not be saved.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information relating to it is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 173 of 25/8/2014.

Tragic, but surprised not more incidents.

We were driving down Chester road on Saturday evening when a car coming out of the site decided to ignore the Lady directing traffic to go up Chester Road, they decided to drive across the road, pushing bollards out of the way with the front of the car and then sped off down the road with the official waving a them !!!

A death on the road, a death in a hotel which it is believed is related to the poor person being at Creamfields and 2 dogs found dead in a van. Isn't it about time this festival was stopped?
