THE family of a 20-year-old man killed after being hit by a car next to Creamfields said a ‘huge hole’ has been left in their hearts.

It is believed pedestrian Aiden Connolly, from Glasgow, was struck by the Toyota Hilux after leaving the Creamfields site in Daresbury.

In a statement, the family said: “Aiden lived a happy and full life.

“He was a keen guitarist, a dedicated bodybuilder and enjoyed socialising with his family, friends and work colleagues.

“He was kind and thoughtful and his tragic passing leaves a huge hole in the hearts of all who knew him".

The collision was reported at the junction of Chester Road and the Daresbury Expressway at 3.45am on Monday.

Aiden was rushed to Aintree Hospital in Liverpool with serious injuries but could not be saved.
